1. What is Covered

Decknic Designs LLC warrants 1) the Decknic Umbrella Stand assembly and/or 2) the Universal Deck Anchor against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty period is one (1) year from the date of original purchase. This warranty includes:

• Umbrella Stand: The structural integrity of the powder-coated carbon steel base plate, umbrella tube, and assembly hardware. The functionality of the deckbolt locking and handnut clamping mechanisms.
• Universal Deck Anchor: The structural integrity and functionality of the Universal Deck Anchor clamping mechanism and assembly components. These assembly components include stainless steel plates, polyester strap, and handnuts.

2. What is Not Covered (Exclusions)

• Finish and Surface Corrosion: Minor scratches to the powder coating or surface rust on the mild steel base plate/tube or handnut components, especially in saltwater (dock) environments. Surface imperfections on the hardware which do not affect structural integrity are also included in this exclusion.
• Wear: For the EPDM rubber covers on the handnuts, normal wear, weathering, or fading is excluded. For polyester straps on the Universal Deck Anchor, normal wear, weathering, or fading is excluded.
• Improper Assembly: Damage caused by failure to follow assembly instructions. Damage caused by over-torquing of screws or use of tools not provided is also excluded.
• Improper Installation: Damage or bent hardware caused by forcing deckbolts into gaps tighter than 0.085” or forcing the locking tab to turn in a binding condition. This exclusion also covers damage or bent hardware caused by failing to properly align deckbolts within board gaps, over-tightening the handnuts, or rough handling of the deckbolts that is inconsistent with the use guide.
• Structural Damage to Decks: Decknic Designs LLC is not responsible for damage to deck/dock boards, finishes, or joists caused by the use of this product.
• Improper Care: Damage to the stand or deckbolts due to excessive physical contact with the umbrella pole. Examples of such contact include impact with heavy furniture or pushing/pulling by a person.
• Improper Use: Damage as a result of using the products for any use other than as an umbrella stand or to use the anchors for any other purpose than to anchor objects such as furniture to a deck.
• Acts of Nature: Damage to the stand, the umbrella, or the deck caused by high winds, storms, or the "sail effect" of an open umbrella. Always close and remove umbrellas when not in use.

3. Proper Use

This warranty is only valid if the product is used as intended:

• Maximum Umbrella Size: The Umbrella Stand is designed for umbrellas up to 10 feet in diameter.
• Installation: Must be installed on structurally sound wood or composite decking with board thickness between 0.82-1.5 inches. All boards must be the same thickness. Gaps between boards should follow requirements in the documentation provided for each model.
• Maintenance: The steel plates and tube should be rinsed with fresh water if used in coastal/saltwater environments to prevent accelerated rust on the powder-coated surfaces.

4. Remedy

If a defect arises, Decknic Designs LLC will, at its option, choose from the following remedies:

1. Provide replacement parts (such as new deckbolts, stainless steel hardware, or handnuts) at no charge.
2. Replace the entire unit with a comparable product.
3. Refund the original purchase price.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Decknic Designs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of this product. Examples of such damages include damage to your deck, umbrella, person, or personal property.
